~ Experts on Human Health, Animal Agriculture, Veg Living to be Featured ~

The annual Rehoboth Beach VegFest returns this summer the weekend of June 10 -12, 2016, centered around the free outdoor Festival on Saturday June 11.

This year’s roster of speakers at the Festival features noted names in their fields, including Chef Abundance Child, of Drop Squad Kitchen, Wilmington, DE; Dorothy Greet, plant-based health speaker and blogger, Lewes, DE; Kate St. John, of The Humane League; and Charles Wolfe of VegDover.

Coming to Rehoboth from her popular restaurant on the Wilmington Delaware Riverfront, Chef Abundance Child will be giving a cooking demonstration on Vegan Soul Food. Chef AC is known throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for her healthful food with exquisite flavors. As described by Mark Nardone of Delaware Today: “Chef AC understands vegetarian, vegan, alkaline and raw eating methodologies, and she can guide the way for you. The food is all plant-based, local and organic when possible.”

Returning to Rehoboth VegFest for a second time is popular Lewes Delaware plant-based health expert Dorothy Greet. A heart attack turned this retired clergy woman’s life upside down. Now with a Cornell certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition in one hand and THE CHINA STUDY by T. COLIN CAMPBELL, PH.D., in the other, Dorothy Greet’s goal is to educate others about the extraordinary health benefits of Whole Food Plant-Based Eating and the damaging impact of the Western Diet.

Kate St. John is the Assistant Director of Development for The Humane League; one of the most effective animal advocacy non profits in the country. In her prior position as Maryland grassroots director, Kate has introduced thousands of people to the joys of vegan food thru her cooking and activism. Kate is founder and organizer of the annual Baltimore VegFest; is a passionate home chef; and has helped host vegan pop-up dining events in Baltimore and Ellicott City, MD. Kate will be giving a cooking demonstration on making vegan food delicious.

Charles Wolfe is director of VegDover, a social and outreach organization promoting healthy, humane, and sustainable eating in Delaware’s capital region. A former meat-lover, Charles discovered the horrors of modern animal agriculture in 2013, and has been on a mission ever since. He leads healthy eating presentations, organizes Meatless Monday events, film screenings and more. His talk at Rehoboth Beach VegFest will be: “Going Veg – Real Life Stories and Tips.”
