Rehoboth Beach VegFest, the popular festival celebrating healthy, humane, and sustainable living, is set to return again next summer with an outdoor festival on Saturday June 11th and other related events all weekend long.

The festival, now in its fourth year in the beach region, will once again take place on the grounds of Epworth United Methodist Church, off Coastal Highway adjacent to the Outlet Mall.

VegFest features an array of engaging activities including speakers, vendors, cooking demonstrations, kids activities, food sampling and more – all to introduce people to the many benefits and delicious tastes of plant-based foods.

The festival has grown significantly each year, with eager vendors and attendees now coming from locations across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond to take part.

“It’s an idea whose time has come for sure,” says Tara Sheldon, VegRehoboth vice president and lead organizer for the event.  “These days it seems that everyone is getting the message to eat less meat – and they’re taking that to heart.”

In addition to the featured outdoor festival on Saturday, Rehoboth VegFest weekend includes a  kick-off dinner and social hub, documentary film screening, art event, and a Sunday brunch.

Applications are being accepted now for vendors and volunteers.  “Volunteering to help us with VegFest is a great way for people to get connected and jumpstart their own health,” adds Sheldon.  We truly need and welcome volunteers.”
