Something for Everyone!

Next Saturday, join Compassion Over Killing and VegRehoboth for the first-ever Rehoboth Beach VegFest! And whether you’ve attended VegFests across the country, or this is your first one, the Rehoboth Beach VegFest has something for everyone.

The day starts at 11:00 a.m. when the Rehoboth Beach VegFest will be handing out 300 FREE goodie bags filled with veg-friendly product coupons and samples from our sponsors. Get there early to be one of the few to get a free bag!

Once you get your goodie bag, it’s time to eat. Local establishments, Nage, a(MUSE.), Greenman Juice Bar & Bistro, Hobos Restaurant, and Modern Mixture will be dishing out delicious all-vegan fare for your eating pleasure. After lunch, leave room for dessert. Cake Break will be there with their delectable vegan cupcakes!

Speaking of cupcakes, at 2:30 pm, witness five brave souls chowing down during the Rehoboth Beach VegFest Cupcake Eating Contest. Interested in participating? Let us know!

After the cupcake eating contest, wander the festival to find many local veg-friendly businesses. From the Rehoboth Beach Farmer’s Market to Good Earth Market to Kia Massage, you’ll be sure to find something to peak your interest. Or stop by our speaker’s tent to hear from Vice President of Farm Animal Protection at the Humane Society of the United States, Paul Shapiro, local restaurant owner Gretchen Hanson, or dietitian, Joseph Gonzales. Check out our schedule to see who’s speaking when!

Concerned about leaving Fido and the kids at home while you’re out having fun? The Rehoboth Beach VegFest is a dog-friendly and kid-friendly event! The Delaware SPCA will be there with a pack of adoptable dogs, and Katie Freer, the Sprouting Chef, will be doing a kid-oriented plant-based cooking demo.

And if one day wasn’t enough, join the Rehoboth Beach VegFest and our speakers at Nage for brunch on Sun., June 2nd. But hurry – seating is limited and tickets are selling fast!
