Film Screening Announced

Rehoboth Beach Film Society and VegRehoboth are pleased to announce their joint presentation of Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret as a kick-off event for Rehoboth Beach VegFest 2015.  The film screening will take place Friday, June 12th, 8pm at The Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center on the Boardwalk.   Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret, first released nationwide in 2014, is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following intrepid filmmaker Kip Andersen as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – animal agriculture – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it.   As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.    “We are happy to be the co-host for the Rehoboth VegFest film screening this year,” says Sue Early, executive director of Rehoboth Beach Film Society.  VegFest has become an important community event, and this film’s emphasis on sustainability is particularly relevant to our area.”   Louie Psihoyos, Oscar-Winning Director of “The Cove,” says Cowspiracy “may be the most important film made to inspire saving the planet.”   “We are so thrilled to be partnering with Rehoboth Beach Film Society for this event,,” adds Tara Sheldon, VegRehoboth vice president.  ” They are a beloved part of the fabric of our community, and their reputation for excellence speaks for itself.”   Cowspiracy will be shown following the VegFest Kickoff Vegan Dinner at The Atlantic Sands Hotel. Tickets may be purchased individually for the film and/or the dinner, or may be purchased as a combination ticket.  Film tickets are $10 each. First seating SOLD OUT. Second seating added: Sunday June 14th @ 1 pm @ Atlantic Sands following brunch at The Cellar Door.     Many thanks to our Sponsor Jenn Harpel, Morgan Stanley for helping make VegFest 2015 the best one yet!   [gravityform id=”10″ name=”Rehoboth VegFest Brunch @ The Cellar Door &...
